It wasn’t that long ago that I got the privilege to photograph these two beautiful little boys as newborns, and here they are sitting up and walking (well, half the set is walking)!
Mom, dad and big sister joined in the fun this time. This session was done on the campus of Quinnipiac University, where mom and dad met.

I think it’s pretty clear by now that I’m not very good at keeping this blog current! Some days start out promising: I answer a few emails, get some editing done, process a few orders, and am about to post a few pictures on the blog when someone pours yogurt on the dog or decides that he must play with the EXACT toy that his brother is holding at that very moment and no other toy in the universe will do, and then I have to switch into Crisis Management Mode. By the time I sit back down at the computer all momentum is lost, and instead of doing any real work I just waste time on Facebook … which probably explains why my Facebook page is much more up to date!

Here are a few favorites from some recent sessions. Better late than never!

It always seems like I sit down at the computer to answer a quick email and the next thing I know it’s almost midnight. No wonder I’m always so tired in the morning! On the upside, it’s probably the only time that I can get work done around here and not be interrupted by the kids every thirty seconds.

Before I head off to bed I just wanted to post a few pictures for a wonderful client. Little ‘J’ was initially a last minute session, but newborns are my favorite so I always try and squeeze them in if I can. So glad that I could! He was just a dream to work with and his big sister served as my assistant for the afternoon, helping me pick out hats and keeping me company while I worked!

Can’t wait for our next session!

New England weather is insanely unpredictable, so whenever I have an outdoor session booked for March I can’t help but get a little nervous! I had photographed this handsome little boy when he was a newborn and mom had chosen Compo Beach in Westport for his six month pictures. Luckily, the session couldn’t have fallen on a nicer day (at least for March). It was a bit windy, as it always is at the beach, but at least the sun was shining!

Here are some favorites …

I love shooting families! While I always include a few traditional family portraits, it’s the interaction shots that truly bring out the personality and the dynamic of a family.

This series is my personal favorite from the day. I love the colors and the expressions. Oh, and isn’t mom just gorgeous?

Sometimes I get so busy that some of my favorite sessions never make it to the blog. This family session was one of them. These photos were taken at Greenwich Point, which is one of my favorite beach locations.

Since it’s about 20 degrees outside right now, I thought we could all use a little dose of summer!

Despite getting lost somewhere between SoHo and Brooklyn, sitting in bridge traffic, arriving half an hour behind schedule, and almost tossing my TomTom into the Hudson river, I had a great time at this session! This was the first time I’ve seen little ‘H’ since doing her newborn pictures last year, and she has grown into the most adorable and animated little girl. She and her family have since moved to Manhattan (into the most amazing loft!) and we were able to get some great family shots outside in front of thier building. The city makes for an incredible backdrop, and is a fun change from the parks and beaches that I’m used to shooting at. Thank you ‘C’ family, it was great to see you again!

Some favorites from a recent holiday session at Wolfe Park in Monroe. I first photographed these adorable girls this summer, and I was very excited when mom contacted me to do some holiday shots. Little ‘S’ just turned one and started walking, so the timing was perfect!

I am up to my eyeballs in work at the moment, but this blog is so neglected that I thought I’d take a few minutes out to post a couple of favorite shots from a recent session. This fun and laid-back family was referred to me by another one of my wonderful clients. We met up at their beautiful home in Greenwich for our session, and the kids couldn’t have been any cuter or more cooperative. Take a look …
