It was so much fun having little ‘g’ in my studio. Six months is one of my favorite ages to work with, and she was no exception. Such a happy, smiley little girl.

I photographed beautiful Briana a few days before her family moved out of state. Our original session fell on a dark, rainy day, and even in the studio there was NO light so we had to reschedule. Luckily we were able to fit the session in before they had to move! I absolutely LOVE baby sessions. That short window between sitting up and crawling it is one of my favorite stages to photograph.

Once they see the samples, parents fall in love with the canvases, albums and storyboards that I offer, and often include at least one of these products in their order. I always say that I am going to make a point to photograph and show more of these products, but usually I am so excited to deliver them to parents that I just never quite get around to doing it! Briana’s mom ordered a canvas (which, unfortunately, I wasn’t able to photograph) and a 9×9 session album. These albums are truly one-of-a kind, with a custom designed cover, a beautiful linen-blend spine and gorgeous, hand-assembled linen mat pages. Here are a few shots of Briana’s album:

Last week was school vacation week, which means that most of my time was spent entertaining the kids, shuffling them to play dates and playgroups, and keeping them from driving each other (and me) crazy. It also means that I have a lot to catch up on this week!

First up is TJ. He arrived five weeks early and was in the NICU for a bit, so he was just over a month old at our session. I had a wonderful time meeting and photographing him and chatting with mom and dad (who are clearly head over heels in love with their new baby boy).

And I just love this – a smile in action!

Anette - What a gorgeous family!! I love that he was awake for so many shots and the family pictures just melts my heart. Family pictures are always my favorites…it really show of how loved he is and how little he still is. The soft colors are adding to the feel of these too. What a pretty session!!!

Sweet little Ryan was almost six weeks old when he came into my studio for his newborn pictures. I never know quite what to expect with older babies, since most that I photograph are quite a bit younger, but Ryan was a perfect little model. We were able to capture some wonderful images!
