MY APPROACH TO PHOTOGRAPHING babies
Baby sessions, often called sitter sessions, are best for babies who can sit independently but aren’t yet crawling—typically between 6 and 10 months old. This sweet stage is full of personality and fleeting moments, from tiny toes in the mouth to drooly, toothy grins. The goal is to capture all the adorable details that make this phase so special before it slips away.
Parent participation is optional, but if you choose to join in, we’ll capture the sweet, intimate connection between you and your baby. From playful interactions to warm snuggles and loving hugs, these moments create beautiful, heartfelt images that celebrate your bond.
With years of experience photographing babies, I know how to work efficiently—essential when little ones have short attention spans. Baby sessions are relaxed and move at a comfortable pace, allowing me to capture a beautiful variety of images in a short time. From sweet solo portraits to playful parent-and-baby moments, my goal is to create a collection of images that feel natural, heartfelt, and true to this fleeting stage.
STYLING
When it comes to styling baby sessions, simple is best. A plain white onesie is often all you need to showcase your baby’s sweet features, but if you'd like more variety, my studio wardrobe offers a carefully curated selection of onesies, rompers, diaper covers, sweaters, dresses, and more.
For parents and siblings, I also provide a range of timeless, neutral-toned clothing in various sizes to ensure a cohesive look. Whether you choose to borrow from the wardrobe or bring your own outfits, my goal is to keep the focus on your baby while creating soft, natural, and beautifully coordinated images.
SCHEDULING AND LOCATION
Baby sessions take place in my cozy, well-equipped studio in Farmington, Connecticut, designed for a relaxed and stress-free experience. The studio provides a calm environment with comfortable areas for parents to relax, as well as spaces for feeding and changing when needed.
I’ll work with you to choose a session time that aligns with your baby’s natural rhythm, avoiding nap or feeding times to ensure they’re at their happiest. My goal is to create a comfortable setting where we can capture your little one’s sweetest moments with ease.

Anyone who has ever had a computer crash or lost files on a hard drive knows that digital files are not permanent. While they’re convenient, they often get forgotten or left unprinted. That’s why I not only provide digital files but also help my clients choose and design meaningful, tangible products to showcase in their homes—ensuring their memories are preserved for generations.
Your images deserve more than a quick print from a chain store. They were professionally created and should be professionally printed for the best quality and longevity. Our carefully curated fine art collection includes handcrafted albums, custom frames, and heirloom portrait boxes to ensure your memories are displayed beautifully.
