MY APPROACH TO PHOTOGRAPHING CHILDREN
Whether you’re celebrating a milestone birthday or simply want to capture your child’s unique personality at this stage in life, portrait sessions are all about preserving the little details that make this moment special. From joyful cake smashes to classic birthday portraits and expressive personality sessions, these sessions are designed to showcase your child just as they are - playful, curious, and full of life - before this fleeting stage becomes a memory. I keep the focus on your child with a simple, timeless approach, using minimal props to ensure the images remain classic and never feel overly styled or trendy.
Parent participation is optional, but if you choose to join in, we’ll capture the sweet, intimate connection between you and your child. From playful interactions to warm snuggles and loving hugs, these moments create beautiful, heartfelt images that celebrate your bond.
With years of experience photographing children, I know how to work efficiently—essential when little ones have short attention spans. Portrait sessions are relaxed and move at a comfortable pace, allowing me to capture a beautiful variety of images in a short time. The goal of every portrait session is to create a collection of images that feel natural and authentic.
STYLING
When it comes to styling children's portrait sessions, simple is best. Neutral tones and soft textures help keep the focus on your child’s natural expressions and personality. My studio wardrobe offers a thoughtfully curated selection of classic, timeless pieces—including tops, bottoms, dresses, rompers, and more—in a variety of sizes to ensure a cohesive and polished look.
Whether you choose to borrow from the wardrobe or bring your own outfits, my goal is to keep the focus on your child while creating soft, natural, and beautifully coordinated images.
SCHEDULING AND LOCATION
Portrait sessions take place in my cozy, well-equipped studio in Farmington, Connecticut, designed for a relaxed and stress-free experience. The studio provides a calm environment with comfortable areas for parents to relax, as well as spaces for changing when needed.
When working with toddlers, I’ll work with you to choose a session time that aligns with your child's natural rhythm, avoiding nap or feeding times to ensure they’re at their happiest. For older children, after-school and weekend appointments are available.

Anyone who has ever had a computer crash or lost files on a hard drive knows that digital files are not permanent. While they’re convenient, they often get forgotten or left unprinted. That’s why I not only provide digital files but also help my clients choose and design meaningful, tangible products to showcase in their homes—ensuring their memories are preserved for generations.
Your images deserve more than a quick print from a chain store. They were professionally created and should be professionally printed for the best quality and longevity. Our carefully curated fine art collection includes handcrafted albums, custom frames, and heirloom portrait boxes to ensure your memories are displayed beautifully.
