This morning we said goodbye to summer vacation as the boys got on the bus for the first day of school. 1st and 3rd grade. Wow! Where does the time go?
We had a great summer, filled with pool parties and road trips and all of the wonderful things that I love about this time of year. The best part, though – the part that we look forward to all year long – is the time that we spend on Cape Cod. If I’m counting correctly, this was our 11th summer on the Cape, and having the beach just footsteps from my back door never gets old.
Those weeks pass faster than any other weeks of summer seem to, and before we know it it’s time to pack up the car, say goodbye to the cousins, and head our separate ways over the bridge before the early morning rush begins.
We’ve been back home for less than three weeks, but already the mornings are colder and the days are shorter, and the change of seasons is in the air. School has started, and the gears have shifted. The fall newsletter will be going out next week, and then the holiday rush is on! As much as I love autumn, I’m never quite ready for summer to end. I will be hanging onto this last stretch of it as long as I can.
I hope that you’ve had a wonderful summer, too! As always, I’m looking forward to seeing many of my regular clients this fall, as well as meeting new ones!
So, goodbye, summer. Hello, fall. Until next year, Cape Cod …
Amazing pictures! As always!
