FAQ – Holiday Sessions – Simply Merry Minis

These sessions are just for the kids! Each session is ideal for 1-2 kids (ages 6 months+). The more siblings participating, the less solo images we will be able to capture. If you have more children we recommend booking an additional session. If you don’t see any back-to-back sessions available, please contact the studio directly at kelli@kellidease.com prior to booking.

If you would like to include group shots of siblings, cousins, the family pet, or other loved ones, please choose our private session option. Each private session spot can accommodate up to 3 children.

All sessions are located in the KDP studio at 29 Mill Street in Unionville (Farmington), Connecticut.

Keep it simple and timeless. We suggest neutral shades (creams, whites, and soft browns), holiday pajamas, or a pop of holiday colors. Layering soft and subtle textures such as knits and waffle prints adds a beautiful dimension to the images. Please avoid bold colors such as neon, busy patterns, or shirts with logos and characters.

There will be no outfit changes permitted. If you would like an outfit change, please choose our private session option.

Children can be barefoot or wear socks on the white floor. Shoes are not permitted.

Favorite stuffed animals or small toys are welcome, but our rule of thumb is always “if you don’t want it in the photos, leave it at home”.

All of your images will go through an initial editing process that includes cropping and color correction. Any images that you purchase will go through a detailed retouching process, removing any scratches, cuts, runny noses, etc.

We realize that everyone is anxious to get their holiday cards and gifts completed so we try to get your images to you as quickly as possible following your session. Maximum turnaround time is one week. Rush service is also available for a small fee. Custom retouching requests may take an additional 1 to 2 days.

Yes. Additional digital images will be priced at both an individual and a bulk rate. We also offer both in-house printing services and custom wall art. Although it is optional, we highly recommend printing from our professional printing lab to ensure your images are sharp, color-accurate, and of the highest quality.
