It is never too early to book! In general, I have more flexibility in the winter months, with the warmer months and the holiday season being booked far in advance. Most families book during their second trimester to guarantee availability. However, even if you’re planning is last minute, there is always a chance I’ll have an opening. When you book your newborn photoshoot, I will tentatively put you on the calendar for the closest opening following your due date. If the baby arrives later or earlier than expected we can always adjust the date.
For the best results, newborn photo shoots are typically done within three weeks of the baby’s birth. However, I have worked with babies up to six weeks old and gotten great results. As long as baby acne and colic aren’t present and the baby is still sleeping well, the session should go smoothly. the session should go smoothly.
