Who can be included in a family session?
Fall family sessions are best suited for immediate families. You can also opt for a kids-only session or an outdoor maternity session. I offer a range of session options to fit your budget, family size, and the number of final images you’re hoping for. Whether you’re looking for a great picture for your Christmas card, something short and simple or a full experience with the whole family, there’s a session that’s just right for you. Complete pricing and session options can be found on the outdoor family session page.
What should we wear?
Start with my guide, What to Wear for Fall Family Photos. It walks through colors, layering, and what actually photographs well in a fall field or park. Once you’re booked, you also get the full styling help: a What to Wear guide, my Pinterest boards, and as much outfit coordinating help as you want.
When will we receive our photos?
Turnaround time is quick! You’ll receive a fully edited image gallery within 2 weeks – often sooner. From there, you can select your favorites and download your images directly from the gallery.
What happens if it rains?
We will reschedule! If the forecast calls for rain or conditions aren’t ideal (too cold, too windy, etc.), I’ll be in touch with potential make-up dates.
Do you offer fall mini sessions?
Not the traditional kind, the same-day, back-to-back lineup in one spot. My Petite session is the better version of that, and it runs year round instead of only in the fall. It’s a short, focused session for a handful of updated family photos, ideal if you want a holiday card shot or just a current picture of everyone without committing to a full session. Because it’s booked on its own date instead of a packed mini day, you get to plan around your own schedule and you’re not watching the clock while the family ahead of you runs long. If you’ve never done a mini session before, I encourage you to read Are Mini Sessions Right For You? before booking.
When do fall sessions begin booking?
Any time, honestly. You can book months out if you want, just know the date stays a little tentative that far ahead. I’ll do my best to hold it for you, but plans shift on both ends, so we revisit as the season gets closer. Most families start booking around the middle of summer if they want to lock in a weekend or a custom location. If your schedule is more flexible, reaching out by the end of summer is plenty.
