where will my maternity session take place?
Your maternity session can take place in my Farmington, Connecticut, studio for a classic and intimate feel, or in warmer months, you may choose an outdoor setting—either my favorite field in Simsbury or a custom location of your choice.
when is the best time to schedule a maternity session?
The ideal time for a maternity photo shoot is between 28 and 34 weeks of pregnancy. During this time, your baby bump is beautifully rounded, but you’re still comfortable enough to move and pose.
What should I wear for my maternity session?
Choose an outfit that emphasizes your bump and fits comfortably. Flowy dresses, fitted gowns, or softly textured fabrics in neutral tones work beautifully. I also provide a client wardrobe with dresses designed for maternity sessions. More comprehensive advice will be included in your session guide once you book.
Can my partner or child(ren) be included in the session?
Absolutely! Many clients choose to include their partner or other children to capture family connections.
Should I have my hair and makeup professionally done?
Professional hair and makeup are highly recommended as they enhance your natural beauty and ensure you look polished on camera. I work with a professional makeup artist who can come to the studio for your session, making it a stress-free and seamless experience. Let me know if you’d like to add this option to your session!
